For the digestive system, Triphala is the one of the most famous remedies in Ayurveda. It balances Vata, Pitta and Kapha especially in the digestive system and the eyes.  Most people need to determine the correct dose based on their body weight and the degree of their imbalance… Chronic constipation for example takes a larger dose to get the digestive system working properly than temporary constipation… Typical dose for constipation is two to four  capsules at night before sleep.  Like most Natural remedies it can take some days before results are felt.  With Diarrhea a low dose like one or two  capsule will usually bring results…Obviously  small persons use less than large people.

For the eyes, it is used in the treatment of conjunctivitis, progressive myopia, early stages of glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. It is a Rasayana (rejuvenator)for the eyes. For these conditions it is used both internally as described above and externally as an eye wash. Leave 5 capsules or one spoon in 100ml of water overnight. In the morning strain the resultant infusion through a clean cloth several times.  This can be used to wash the eyes using a dropper, a clean cloth or better yet an eye cup.

We provide Triphala in 600mg capsules in pots of  50 and 75 capsuls.
